What is the application for activated carbon powder?

Coal can be processed into the different types of granular, pellet, and powder activated carbon. The most cost effective is coal-based activated carbon powder, which has low competition, large sales volume, and sufficient supply.
It has wide applications.

Waste incineration

Wastewater treatment

For example, it is often applied in industrial (Coke Factory) waste water biological treatment pools, it is used as an adjunct to the bacteria and COD that perform biological treatment.
The coal activated carbon powder will be added to equalization tank. Flow equalization tanks are most often located at the wastewater treatment plant and are designed to provide storage to accommodate the variable flow into the tank and output a steady state condition that would flow into the treatment plant, which optimizes the efficiency of the treatment process.
The wastewater mainly contains phenolic pollutants, cresol and ethyl phenol. And most is mainly acidic. The PH of coal activated carbon is alkaline, which is neutral to the acidity and neutralization of wastewater.
Wastewater contains more negative ions, hydroxy-OH. Coal is conductive and has more positive ions, which can lead neutralization of positive and negative ions.
